Brad Lomax founded Water Street Oyster Bar in San Antonio in May of 1988. We worked together for many years. Today we continue to uphold these values:

Telling the truth is the right thing to do. We strive to be scrupulously honest -- good news or bad news -- with our employees, our vendors and certainly our customers. This means if we make a mistake we admit it, if we change a policy we say why and if we say fresh it means never frozen.

The only way to ensure that the customer gets a great meal is to start with quality ingredients in the kitchen. Our product specifications are exacting and we hold our supply partners to tough standards. A superior piece of fish stands on its own and is only enhanced by spices and sauces.

We give back to the communities that support us. Our goal is to develop long-term relationships with our customers, and we fully understand that reciprocation is crucial to any good relationship. The lion's share of our marketing budget is always devoted -- not to advertising -- but to financial support of charitable and civic causes.
